Pratibha Phadke-Gupta, PhD

 

Dr. Gupta holds Ph.D. in Biochemistry-Zoology. She has specialized in Cancer immunology with post-doctoral research experience in ophthalmology, hematology and surgery.

 

Dr. Gupta has published numerous papers in reputed international journals on cancer biochemistry. After spending 19 years in teaching and research in human exercise and performance, Dr. Gupta decided to pursue her passion towards prevention of future diseases by implementing life style changes, proper nutrition and exercise. She follows the principles of nutrigenomics, a study which shows how the foods we eat affect our genes and how individual genetic patterns can affect the way we respond to different nutrients present in the foods that we eat on a regular basis.

 

Dr. Gupta is certified in Body composition Analysis (BOD-POD)  and  Pulmonary Exercise Training with VMAX.  She is an active member of American Association of Exercise Physiology, American Public Health Association, American Council on Exercise and American Society on Nutrition. She is also a member of American College of Sports Medicine and is certified in Nutrition for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.   Dr. Gupta has presented several health seminars, healthy cooking workshops for adults and children in academic and social environment. Recently she has initiated “Get Up and Move” program at Central State University for creating healthy communities in Dayton & Montgomery County.
